RULES REGARDING CHILDREN
The main intention of our society is to provide a mature, controlled environment for it’s members to enjoy playing tabletop games. There is no membership fee, or need to join. We welcome anyone who would like to play.
However there are some rules regarding children which we require everyone to follow in order to provide the optimum environment for everyone involved.
Anyone over the age of 12 (School year 8) is welcome to attend unaccompanied.
Children aged 11 (school years 6 and 7) are also able to attend, as long as they have a genuine interest in what we are doing. However each child of this age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The only exception to this is that two siblings may be accompanied by a single adult. An adult is someone of aged 18 or over.
Although we do provide a safe environment for children, (the society leader has been DBS checked in line with Shrewsbury House policy) we are not an institution like the Beavers or Cubs, where children can be dropped off and left in the hope that they will be entertained. We believe that Dice on the Hill provides a first class environment to get some quality time with your child, and encourage you to try out the society in this way.
